LAREDO, Texas — In observance of the Independence Day holiday, El Metro Transit System has announced modifications to its administrative hours and bus service schedules. Passengers are encouraged to plan their travels in advance to ensure a smooth commute.
The modified holiday schedule is as follows:

- Friday, July 3, 2026:
- Customer Service & Administrative Offices: CLOSED
- Fixed Route and El Lift/Paratransit services will operate on their regular weekday schedules.
- Saturday, July 4, 2026 (Independence Day):
- Fixed Route Service: Operating on a Sunday Schedule
- El Lift / Paratransit Service: Operating on a Sunday Schedule
- Customer Service & Administrative Offices: CLOSED
Resumption of Service
All regular administrative operations and Customer Service hours will resume promptly on Monday, July 6, 2026, following the Independence Day observance.
