El Metro Announces Holiday Schedule for New Year’s Observance
LAREDO, TEXAS — In observance of the New Year’s holiday, El Metro Transit has announced adjustments to its fixed-route bus services and administrative operations. To allow employees to spend time with their families while still providing essential transportation to the community, the following schedule will be in effect:
Service & Office Schedule
- Wednesday, December 31, 2025 (New Year’s Eve): Sunday Services for both fixed-route and El Lift service will operate.
- Thursday, January 1, 2026 (New Year’s Day): CLOSED. No fixed-route buses or El Lift services will be in operation.
- Friday, January 2, 2026: All services will return to their regular scheduled hours.
Administrative & Customer Service Hours
The El Metro Administrative Offices and the Customer Service department will be closed on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, and Thursday, January 1, 2026. Regular business operations and customer support will resume on Friday, January 2, 2026.
Travel Reminders
Passengers are encouraged to plan their trips in advance by viewing specific holiday routes on the El Metro website or via the mobile app.
