Event that will take place on May 23rd at El Metro Transit Center on 1301 Farragut from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. We are inviting the community to join us for an afternoon of fun activities right at the heart of downtown. El Metro will be having music for all ages, free popcorn and waters, free hotdogs, and a contest for “The Top 3 Best Bike lights”. Awards for two different categories, which consist of Adult, and Kiddy Category. Judges will consider light creativity and safe-to ride bikes.

This year Walk.Bike.Ride event is packed with fun activities for everyone to walk, bike and ride downtown Laredo.
El Metro Administration is encouraging residents to either Walk or Bike to your bus stop and ride to this great event. Active transportation is any self-propelled, human powered mode of transportation, such as walking or bicycling. “Walk Bike Ride is an active-transportation initiative that promotes public transportation use while encouraging people to meet their mobility needs without driving a vehicle, said Claudia San Miguel, El Metro General Manager”. The Walk.Bike.Ride. Campaign that El Metro is introduced goes in line with the new Viva Laredo Comprehensive Plan adopted by the City of Laredo in September 2017.
