Laredo, Texas -In honor of Juneteenth, a day of profound significance in our nation’s history, El Metro Transit wishes to express our solidarity with the observance of this important day.
On June 19, 2024, El Metro Transit will be running regular service for both fixed routes and El Lift to ensure seamless transportation for our community. However, please note that our administrative office and customer service will be closed in observance of Juneteenth.
Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States and serves as a reminder of the ongoing fight for equality and justice. El Metro Transit recognizes the importance of this day and stands in support of the continued pursuit of freedom and equality for all.

Laredo, Texas – El Metro Transit, has announced the closure of its administrative office and customer service operations in observance of Memorial/Remembrance Day on Monday, May 27, 2024.
On this day of reflection and honor, El Metro Transit will be pausing its administrative and customer service functions to pay tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for our country. However, all fixed routes and El Lift services will continue to run on their regular schedules to ensure that passengers can rely on uninterrupted transportation services.
While our administrative office and customer service will be closed on Memorial/Remembrance Day, our commitment to providing reliable transportation options remains unwavering.
