El Metro Announces Labor Day Service Schedule
LAREDO, Texas — El Metro Transit System advises passengers of its operating schedule in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 7, 2026.
El Metro will operate according to the following schedule:
- Fixed-route buses: Regular service
- El Lift/Paratransit: Regular service
- Administrative offices and Customer Service: Closed
El Metro’s administrative offices and Customer Service will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
Passengers are encouraged to plan their trips accordingly. El Metro remains committed to providing safe, reliable, and accessible transportation throughout the Laredo community.

LAREDO, Texas — El Sistema de Transporte El Metro informa a sus pasajeros sobre su horario de operaciones con motivo del Día del Trabajo, que se conmemora el lunes 7 de septiembre de 2026.
El Metro operará de acuerdo con el siguiente horario:

El Metro Announces Holiday Schedule for New Year’s Observance
LAREDO, TEXAS — In observance of the New Year’s holiday, El Metro Transit has announced adjustments to its fixed-route bus services and administrative operations. To allow employees to spend time with their families while still providing essential transportation to the community, the following schedule will be in effect:
Service & Office Schedule
- Wednesday, December 31, 2025 (New Year’s Eve): Sunday Services for both fixed-route and El Lift service will operate.
- Thursday, January 1, 2026 (New Year’s Day): CLOSED. No fixed-route buses or El Lift services will be in operation.
- Friday, January 2, 2026: All services will return to their regular scheduled hours.
Administrative & Customer Service Hours
The El Metro Administrative Offices and the Customer Service department will be closed on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, and Thursday, January 1, 2026. Regular business operations and customer support will resume on Friday, January 2, 2026.
Travel Reminders
Passengers are encouraged to plan their trips in advance by viewing specific holiday routes on the El Metro website or via the mobile app.

El Metro Transit Announces Thanksgiving Day Holiday Schedule
LAREDO, TEXAS — In observance of Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2025, El Metro Transit will be closed. This closure applies to all Fixed Route services, El Lift paratransit services, Customer Service, and Administrative Offices.
Regular operating hours for Fixed Route and El Lift services will resume on Friday, November 28, 2025. Customer Service and Administrative Offices will reopen on Monday, December 1, 2025. El Metro Transit encourages riders to plan accordingly and wishes the community a safe and happy holiday
El Metro Transit Veterans Day Service Schedule
LAREDO, TEXAS – In observance of Veterans Day on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, El Metro Transit will operate regular service for both Fixed Routes and El Lift/Paratransit services.
However, please note that El Metro’s Administrative Office and Customer Service
Office will be closed for the holiday. We appreciate your understanding and wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Veterans Day as we honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans.
