(Laredo, TX October 4, 2017) El Metro will be participating in this upcoming National Night Out event this coming Tuesday October 10th. 2017. El Metro and El Lift Staff will be readily available to provide visitors with route information and hours of operations by route as well as to provide eligibility information of El Metro reduced fare programs for elderly and disabled. In addition applications for paratransit (El Lift) service will be issued out to eligible applicants.
Staff will be available at the event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. to offer information, answer questions, and sell Reduced Fare ID cards right at the event site. “El Metro is committed to outreach to the community to promote Public Transportation and to provide the public with an up-close opportunity to obtain information of available bus routes that can service their transportation needs” said Claudia San Miguel, El Metro General Manager. El Metro encourages residents to take advantage of the many benefits brought by the many agencies participating at the 2017 National Night Out at the 2400 block of San Bernardo Street.
El Metro will provide onsite:
- Bus Route Information and Hours of Operation.
- Reduce Fare El Metro ID Cards for eligible participants (identification required).
- Metro ID applications will be received and processed on site ($2.00 fee).
- New Fare structure information.
- Bike & Ride Plaza Locations and projected sites by District.
